Select Your Cast Device

The app automatically discovers Google Cast devices on your local network. Tap the Cast button and select your Nest Mini, Nest Hub, Chromecast, or any other Cast-enabled speaker. The device stays selected for future sessions.

Your Nest speaker plays the azan at every prayer time via Cast. Scheduling is handled by our cloud — your phone doesn't need to be open, connected to the same WiFi, or even on the same network. The cloud triggers the Cast session directly at prayer time.

How It Works

Google Cast, Explained

Cast sends audio directly from the internet to your speaker — your phone is just the remote.

PWA — No App Store

Our Progressive Web App runs entirely in your browser. Visit the URL, and it behaves like a native app — offline support, home screen installation, and Cast integration. Works on Chrome, Edge, Samsung Internet, and iOS Safari.

Cloud-Scheduled Casting

Unlike screen-mirroring or Bluetooth, Cast speakers pull audio from the internet directly. Our cloud server initiates the Cast session at prayer time — your phone can be off, asleep, or on a different network entirely.

Full Audio Controls

Cast gives full media controls on your speaker. Pause, stop, and volume adjustments all work natively from the Google Home app or voice commands. The azan is a proper media session — not a one-way audio injection with no stop button.

Your Phone Doesn't Need to Stay Connected

Unlike some services that require your phone to be on the same WiFi and running an app in the background, Masjids.Live schedules everything in the cloud. Our server knows your prayer times, your Cast device's address, and your preferences. At Fajr, our server sends the Cast command — your speaker wakes up and plays, even if your phone is on airplane mode.
