Privacy Policy

We built Masjids.Live as a service for the ummah — not a business built on your data. We do not serve advertisements, sell your data, or share anything about you with third parties.

When you connect your Amazon or Google account, we receive basic profile information (name and email) for account identification only. This policy explains exactly what we store and why — in plain language, not legalese.

When you connect your Amazon or Google account, we store only the minimum needed to make the service work:

• Your name and email — from your Amazon or Google profile, for account identification only
• Your connected device IDs — to deliver azan to the right speakers
• Your selected mosque and preferred reciter
• Prayer settings (calculation method, volume, timing adjustments)

We never share this information with third parties. It is used solely to operate your azan service.

No physical address. No IP address logging. No browser cookies. No analytics scripts. No tracking pixels. No fingerprinting. No behavioral data. We do not use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or any similar third-party analytics tool. Your name and email are never shared with or sold to any third party.

We use the Alexa Skills Kit and Google Cast SDK to deliver audio to your devices. These platforms are governed by their own privacy policies:

We do not share any user information with these services beyond what is technically necessary to route audio to your device.

When you stream live mosque audio, the audio passes through our proxy server at stream.masjids.live. We do not record, store, analyze, or otherwise process the audio content. The stream is relayed in real-time and discarded.

Prayer times are calculated on our server using your approximate location — specifically, the city associated with your selected mosque. We do not request GPS coordinates. We do not use precise geolocation. The city-level association is derived from your mosque selection, not from any location tracking.

If you choose to donate, payment is processed securely by Stripe. We do not see, receive, or store your payment card details. Stripe's handling of payment information is governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

We do not knowingly collect information from children under the age of 13. Since we collect no personal data from any user, this is effectively ensured by design. If you believe a child has interacted with our service in a way that concerns you, please contact us.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, the effective date at the top of this page will be updated. We will not make changes that compromise the core principle: no personal data collection.
